Privacy in Overdrive
Updated October 6, 2026Overdrive is a browser racing game. You can play as a guest or link a Google account to recover your progress across devices.
Accounts and progress
The game uses Supabase to store account identifiers, your email address, username, garage, credits, presets, race results and save settings. Google sign-in is handled by Google and Supabase; Overdrive does not receive your Google password. Guest account tokens and settings are saved in your browser. Clearing browser data can remove access to a guest career.
Public game features
Your chosen username, racing avatar, role, race records, car and top speed can appear in public profiles, leaderboards and rooms. Chat messages are shown to participants. Staff can review moderation actions. Your account email is not displayed in public chat or leaderboards.
Connections and music
Multiplayer uses browser connections and a signaling service to connect players. YouTube videos use the official embedded player. Loading a video connects your browser to YouTube, which handles playback and may store cookies under its own privacy policy.
Advertising
Overdrive uses Google AdSense for banner placements on menus and race results. Ad availability depends on Google approval, consent and ad demand. Google and its partners may use cookies and device information to serve and measure advertisements. Available privacy choices are provided through Google's consent message. You can also manage advertising preferences at Google My Ad Center. See how Google uses information from partner sites.
Where available, you can choose to watch a rewarded ad after finishing a career race. Completing it earns a personal garage-credit bonus. We store the associated race, reward amount, claim identifier and completion time to prevent duplicate payouts. Pending claims may be stored in your browser until your connection returns. Declining or dismissing an ad leaves your normal race payout unchanged. These bonus credits have no cash value and cannot be wagered or transferred.
Website analytics
Overdrive uses Vercel Web Analytics on its Vercel-hosted website to measure visits and page views and understand broad traffic sources, devices and regions. It does not send account names, email addresses, credit balances or saved garages to analytics. Query parameters and URL fragments, including sign-in callback codes and room keys, are removed from page-view URLs.
